| - Hoover parted the curtains of a window and peered through the glass. About thirty feet away stood a dark figure. The figure wore a long cape with a high leather collar, long, sharp shoulder guards, and held a staff with two angled blades fixed to its top. As Hoover stared, the figure turned his head and stared back. Its insanely blue eyes appeared to have been robbed of their upper eyelids once, leaving long gory rips up his forehead that were badly stitched in an effort to close the wounds. Hoover quickly stepped away from the window, letting the red curtains fall closed. The figure, Hoover knew, was none other than Jarugulis, who was possibly the most evil and infamous Oozle that ever lived. |

Zome reluctantly parted from his sleep a few hours earlier than he usually did to find the orange morning light already glowing through the screen windows of his room. He did not know why he had awoken so early, and tried to go back to sleep, but no sooner had he rested his head on his pillow when Hoover suddenly smashed down Zome’s door wielding a crowbar, and silhouetted by the orange light of fire and smoke.
